Re: DIY Cruise Control under $25.
I have an '07 and pretty much if you hook it up wrong or the two green wires touch... or are unhooked anywhere you're car won't accelerate. I have had this same problem before, but you pretty much know what's the problem so it's an easy fix. And if your car won't accelerate that means you found the right wires haha, you just went wrong somewhere hooking it up or something came loose. The pins on the switch are 1 and 4 (the outermost).

I think you grabbed the wrong plug...look at the picture above closely, I believe the wires need to be spliced into the wires from the top plug.

The plug is pretty hard to get to, it's pretty far up there. It looks like you're outside the car too, the plug won't even come close to being able to pull out that far, atleast that's how it is in my car. The '09s might be different.

Well the pic is identical to where I pulled the plug. It had tape holding it in the middle and I undid it and it pulled down jus below the dash. I got to put my whole arm up in there to get it. There are no more above it I beleave.

Re: DIY Cruise Control under $25.
hmmm... I remember hearing of people that did this to their 2nd gen aveos. Maybe you'll just have to run some tests to find those two wires.
Oh and if anyone knows if this can be done on an '09 cobalt that would be helpful to a friend of mine. I told him once he finds those two wires I'll hook up cruise for him when he buys it. Not sure if any of you guys might already know. Thanks. I am positive it's drive by wire but what are the wires is what he wanted to know.

Yeah, maybe you should try hooking up the same pins on the plug that correspond to the green/white wires on the DIY pic. Not sure if you already tried this or not.. but that's what I would try first anyway.

Ya that's how I did hook it up. How do u test for the wires? Sry about all the hassel on this. Hopefully it is helpful for others haha.
