Re: Florida and the dirty south

The kind of snow im talking about is like a foot on the road, not inches

An inch or two of snow is nothing, ive driven thru so much snow it would scrape under the car at all times, would get stuck and freeze in your wheels, clog up the front radiator then freeze up

Yeah, not fun lol

Re: Aveo 0 to 60 spec

You guys dont seem to understand how hard its gonna be to put in an ecotec engine in this car. You cant simply buy a motor and gearbox and expect it to drop in and work, you will need custom engine and transmission mounts, an ECU plus the entire wiring harness, custom axels and hubs, you will need c...

Re: Aveo 0 to 60 spec

Yes u need to install the 2.0 ecu, the engine will run with the 1.6's ecu but will cause the engine to ping when you give it gas. After a while it will damage the motor (this is what probly destroyed my 1st 2.0 motor)

Re: Intake Manifold Anyone?

You can put a turbo on, its not gonna do anything, the vgis simply wont work because its vaccum operated, wouldnt matter anyways since you would be forcing in air.

Re: Aveo 0 to 60 spec

Well with my 2.0 i average around 8-9 secs 0 to 60, it depends on traction at launch. I did a few 1/4 mile runs and it was in the high 16's, between 16.5 ans 16.9. It gets really slugish over 60 mph or when i shift in 3rd, its most likely due to my 1.6 exhaust beeing too restrictive for the bigger e...

Re: Intake Manifold Anyone?

Why would you want another intake manifold? You will loose the VGIS system, the stock intake was designed to be that way to maximize the engine's performance and fuel economy. If your worried about applying boost to the plastic intake, dont worry about it, im sure it can take 20+ psi before it crack...

Re: petrified.rabbit's build thread

Look at the videos of my car on youtube (link in signature) Thats how it sounds straightpipe. The only thing i did, is like what corey did, take out the rear muffler behind the rear wheels and run a straight piece of pipe with a high quality dual tip. Dont mistake me, its not FULL straight, ONLY the...
