how much $ did you put in to that car?

Post subject:  Re: i want a vdub now

I had less than $2000 into the entire car with purchase that includes race mounts, short shifter, exhaust, coilovers, new tires, euro bumpers, euro lights, euro rad support, the proper hood, textured side trim, new brakes all around, replacing a bunch of other missing trim and painting it.

that is without my labor.. all the parts were sourced used (except the brakes and mounts), and cheap. I sold it a little while ago to a friend.

Yeah, I don't know how to upload photos to here, but you can check them out here http://www.myspace.com/anagnostou. I love my Jetta, but I'm thinking about selling it so somebody else will get some use out of it and enjoy it. It just sits in my driveway, hoping to get 2000 out of it.

Here you go...Sad as it is this car is as good as sold now. The guy is supposed to come pick it up next week...I hate to see it go, but I hate to see it sit and not being enjoyed more.

"if you aint rubbin.....you aint dubbin"

why do all the VW vids make VW's out to be ghetto tuners, or vids made by mexicans? i went to the VW show here last sunday, and every VW owner i saw there looked alot like me. pierced and tattooed.

Hunter, I'm sorry but that crap is ugly. Cars should be shiny...unless they're intentionally painted flat black like mine. I actually never sold this car^. It's still in my driveway sitting for now. I love vw's. I'm thinking about buying this wrecked TT and swapping the 2.0T into my coupe and swapping the rear axle assembly and suspension so its AWD baby!
