I have an 06 sedan and I am adding a reciever hitch to the car. I am wondering what the right wiring kit is for it to just plug into the current wiring. I also am wondering what your experience is with towing small loads with your aveo.

Have you tried Googling it? The first link that I got when I searched for "aveo 06 towing wiring kit" I get this link to ebay item that found like what you're looking for. Plug and play. No splicing required.
Enjoy.

And it seems like you already found the right thread fort the people who already towed with an Aveo, but here's a link anyways 8) viewtopic.php?f=41&t=27510

You could also take that part number, go to your local auto parts store, have them order that in, and try it out with your car. If it won't work, you can return it to them since it didn't fit.

I know. The only kit that autozone offered me, if I remember correctly, was a universal one that I had to splice in, but I really didn't want to do that so it's easy to reverse that part of my mod. Then I went online and there are so many more possibilities. If JC Whitney don't have it, doesn't mean nobody else doesn't either. 8) I'd give this one a try before I go splicing stuff.
