There's a trick to unbolting the pan. I believe a bolt is hidden inside the transmission which is removable from the rubber boot located on the side of the transmission.

Gear oil (75w90) is recommended...I wouldn't trust ATF in there. The only other fluid I would try would be TGH fluid, which is basically tractor gear oil. It's thicker than the ATF, but thinner than...
