Engine cut off while driving

Own a Aveo 1.5 LS 5 door hatch back for 4 years now. Experience 3 times over the 4 years that the engine cuts off completely and come to a standstill while driving when the accelerator is depressed. The engine will restart immediately after switching off the ignition and restart. I just think something is not right but would appreciate for advice on the matter.
