TPMS: 2008 Aveo5 with No Remote Keyless Entry or Stock Radio

      Hi,

First - thanks in advance for any guidance that someone can provide...

I need my 2008 Chevy Aveo5 to relearn the TPMS sensor locations and wonder if there is any way to do it without going into a dealer. The issue is - all the research I've done online shows that there are two methods:

One requires remote keyless entry (which I do not have)
The other requires using the DIC in the stock head unit (which I do not have, as I bought the car used and the person had swapped out the stock radio)

Are there any other ways to force the relearn? I read on some other Chevy models you can turn the car to "ON" and pump the gas pedal a few times (but that didn't work...).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks!
      -Dave

Sorry - Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Basically - I need the system to be put into "LEARN" mode, but the only way seems to be what I listed in the original post.

You don't have to go to a DEALER, but it looks like you'll need to hit up a shop. I know my personal small shop has the scan tool necessary.

Drock..... Did you ever get your TPMS system to work. My dealer wanted $270 per tire. I got the sensors at Amazon for $30 each took it to Sears but they could get them to work. I know the sensors are now in working order as they don't flicker anymore. There's got to be a way to relearn these babies without a $2000 tool.

Let me know how you got them to work.

Has anybody gone anywhere with this post? I can find a solution but before I spend the time to do so I would like to know that I am not working on a already solved problem. If in fact the can bus needs to have a signal from the radio module to preform this procedure it can be emulated. The equation is solvable. Let me know if there has been any progress. If not I will pick it up and make it happen. Thanks.
