      Oil filter change

I want to make sure I'm istalling the oil filter gasket properly. I put it over the threads and slide towards the top of plastic cover right? once I do this then snap in the filter and screw in and everything seems to be fine.. then after driving there apears to be a small leak!? last time this happened I loosend the plastic cap and tightend a little looser and that seemed to do the trick. I did the same this time and it still seems to have a minor leak. Is the gasket shot or am I istalling it wrong?

this is the Oring on the ecotec? did you lubricate it with oil before installing and you took the old one off?

that was going to be my suggestion, either that or it was put on dry, which it was not.
