      Help with front axle

So like a dummy while installing a new wheel bearing in the drivers side of my 2004 aveo, I removed the large clamp on the outer CV joint and can not get it re installed. Well according to my dealer I can not get just the clamp and I have to get a whole new half shaft. Which I am fine with anyway because that will give me new CV joints. My question is how do I remove the shaft from the transmission? Does it just slide out? ANY help would be appreciated

First drain the transmission oil. Then get some flat bars / pry bars and it just pops out.
