how do you do a fuel pressure test and at what pressure is a good pressure

harbor freight sells a decent fuel pressure test kit, you hook it up inline and turn the car on and it reads on the gauge. the pressure should be at or near the regulator pressure rating. vacuum adjust regulators should also be checked with a vacuum pump using the pressure gauge.
