      Calibrating ScanGauge

      Hey all,

I have a ScanGauge but have a question regarding calibration. The Aveo has an 11.9 gallon tank. Do you enter that as 11 gallons or 12 gallons for the scan gauges memory? I suppose it won't effect MPG which is where I am seeing the discrepancy, but I want to get an idea of what you did.

      Thanks!

That setting is really only used for the miles/gallons left readouts. The manual recommends to always round down for safety sake, but in this case I'd probably set it to 12.

I have a 2010, but I've never been able to get more than 10.5 gallons in the tank at empty. And by empty, I had the fuel light on.

the other gallon is in the reserve, meaning if you actually drive the car until it coasts to a stop, it will require 11 or more gallons.

I have actually driven home (55 miles) with the light coming on as soon as i got on the highway, and have put 11+ gallons in, twice. The first time i did that (in a hurry at midnight coming home) i made it within a 1/4 mile from home, and had to get it towed to the dealer for a new fuel pump instead. Not sure if the low fuel caused the issue or not, but its not good for the pump to be run dry. The second time was at the start of rush hour, and i ended up stopping for gas 3-4 miles before i got home to be safe.

I have a scangauge II also.

But the TPS does not shows any figures, is there something wrong with my Scangauge or I need to do some sort of calibration or TPS is not reflected in Aveo5?
