B2502 code

Hi guys, me again. Threw a scanner on my '07 sedan and found the B2502 code. GM shows this as a shift lock control shorted to ground.

Checking the net, I see some airbag issues may be associated with it.....????

anyway any insight?

have same issue with my 2007 Aveo...code B2502. The dealer wants $1,500 to repair a switch. Anyone have an update on this code?
