Adding a extra remote and key

      Hello

      question for someone.

Are we able to add extra remotes for our stock alarms?
or do we have to go to a dealer and pay through the teeth?

i dont know if this works but you could give it a try if you get a key cut for your car http://www.drdetailshop.com/Transponder ... m#Type%20A

wont work. every key has to be programmed with the gm scan tool...when you add a key you need all the keys reprogrammed.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

That wasn't my experience...I had a duplicate key cut right after I bought my car, and the dealer parts counter man told me to go out to my car, start it with the old key, allow it to run for at least 30 seconds with the new key in the car, turn the ignition off, then insert the new key and start the engine with the new key within 10 seconds of removing the old key.

The most painful part of the whole experience was paying 46 bucks for the key.

Uh, Aveos (in the USA anyway) do NOT have transponders.

Even with the remote door unlocker, it does NOT have a transponder key. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble.
