06 aveo dies at idle, mis fires once or twice and then croaks

ok, i'm frustrated as hell right now.

wifes aveo go to take off to huhots today for lunch (bout an hour away) get 1 block away going toward bank and car dies, ran fine friday when she drove it to work, didnt go anywhere yesterday, today started this.

no codes being set, will die at low speed (i.e. coasting to stop sign). plugs dont "look" to bad, been almost a year since they have been changed, and she's logged some long miles in that time.

i'm going to go get some and swap em, cheap insurance i spose, and since its not setting a code cant tell if its a sensor or the ICM, or CPS.

i like my old POS van, still has a distributor and TBI instead of this modern crap.

thank you, and the darn thing wasn't throwing a code, only thing at that point would be plugs, so went and got new ones n swapped em, started running like it should.

i want my 63 chevy back....could sit on the fender and work on it, ran like no ones business. till some dern fool t-boned it and bent the frame, the insurance company didnt even pay enough to begin thinking about straightening it out. ;(

Yes, I had bad wires on my aveo when it did that. it seems that plugs and wires don't last very long. Now my water pump went out and we thought it was the oil pump. So we ended up changing the water pump, oil pump, timing belt and the tension pulleys (they come in a kit) My husband did the work his self but it was a lot of stuff to take off.
