      UGH! New Wheels

Ok so the wheels i ordered before are not going to come because they werent in stock so they refunded my money.

so i looked tonight and bought these 17x7 ADR Phantoms with a 40mm offset

      i like um.
i think my aveos gonna look sweet with the eibach springs those rims with 215's. And drilled and slotted rotors with red painted calipers.

      SWEET!! haha.

i want a big brake kit dammit!

youll probably need a 35 sidewall to get 215's

Based on tire sizing alone, a 40 would work as well. Just remember that you are going a tad faster than the speedo says. Now it is will clear all the suspension is another question. But forget wider tires, just get stickier ones.

Those wheels are very sharp looking, I'm intrested to see how they'll look on the aveo though. They'll probably look pretty big cause they're so open but that's a good thing depending on your taste. A BBK would definitly fit those wheels much better than most other wheels because they have such an open look. Kinda like the 5zigen fno1r-c I just got, 17" like I've been running for years but they easily pass for 18s compared to all my other wheels I've owned.

I still think you should stuff some 215s under there. A 215/35/17 wouldn't even be that bad, you gotta remember the 35 (or 40) is the % of the width. So a 195/35/17 will have much less sidewall then a 215/35/17. As an example how much my 215/45/16s side wall is nearly the same as my 235/40/17s. In a 17" wheel there are probably more tire choices in the 215 as well.

If you do not plan on autocrossing, you do not need a BBK. It will look better in there but there is no real need for it.
