Strange Metal on Metal "Tinging" sound when reversing from garage.

Hey Guys,

Been hearing this for a while and it makes me very nervous.
I've got a 2008 Aveo5 SV, and just had transmission work done, this was happening before though.

I need new struts and shocks for it so that may be the issue, but I haven't been able to track the noise.

When i shift into reverse, its a near constant ting noise.
It happens occasionally when i release the clutch into first, but it disappears after that.

Any help would be appreciated.

As a sidenote, i put roughly 170 miles a day on this car(travelling IT in Illinois), so this is quite unnerving.

the most common "tinging" type noise is the flex pipe collar rusting and breaking free from the exhaust. when the engine sees a stress (direction changes) and the flex pipe moves, it lets the ring move and make noise until it becomes lodged again (until you switch gears, hard shift, brake)

Very sorry for the long delay, just after rabbit posted, I checked the flex hose.
He was correct, one of the end rings on the flex pipe came loose.
