Snow buildup inside rims
2006 Aveo special value edition sedan. 14 inch rim. Every time I drive through fresh powder snow and then park it builds up inside the rim and throws the balance off. Anyone else having this much snow buildup and figured out a way to prevent it?
BTW, I'm running Hancook iPike snow tires all the way around.

no way to prevent, just let it melt out, i have 18s and the spokes are wide enough to push snow out

2009 Aveo LT, Auto, 104 K miles, all season tires.
Have that problem in Colorado when it snows.
Have to leave it in the garage over night to remove the build up.
Also removed the plastic hub caps to insure that they do not collect snow and sometimes we kick the rims before pulling into the garage.

I've only had this problem once or twice. I just scoop the snow out with my hand (with gloves on) and brush it out.

Get used to it, i have a 2004 with stock steelies and sometimes mine get so caked you cant see the lug nuts.

It just part of owning a car. Maybe you can try a Teflon spray? Like the stuff you spray on the intake and auger of a snowblower to prevent snow and ice buildup. Just an idea.

I know others use pam cooking spray to minimize snow build-up in the wheels.

It was only an issue those couple of times. But then again we didn't get much snow after I posted this ether.
