      Which replacement pads, rotors, struts?

Hi. My '04 needs new pads, rotors and struts. What do you guys recommend for a good replacement from OEM at a decent price. There's lots out there....not sure what to chose.

      Thanks.

I'm familiar with Rock Auto. But there's like 20 different brake pads I can choose from. Which ones do you guys recommend.. same with the rotors and struts.

I almost always buy middle of the road stuff for general repairs. When on rock auto and you don't know what seems good, just go for the items with a heart by them.

For struts I prefer KYB, but Monroe works too.

I don't really care for brake rotors or drums.

For pads, I just buy ceramic whatever isn't the cheapest.

Yup, as Daox mentioned the products with the heart by them is usually a safe choice unless you want to pay more for the OEM's.

They don't come with shims....do I need new ones? Can I get them at the dealer for a reasonable price?

I just reused the old shims that were on mine, but I guess it all depends on how they look when you take them off. I'm sure the dealership would be happy to sell you them at an insane price.

+1 on KYB's They are a comfortable ride. I'm not a fan of their mounting kits though.

The pads might have been a little cheaper if you went with the SGD1035C . S stand for service grade, there a little bit softer then the PG stand for professional grade, a little harder and wear out the rotors faster but they might work with your driving habits. I use SGD1035C right now. Oh C at the end stand for Ceramic.
for shocks I all always like Monroe. So I just put on shocks and struts by Monroe So I will see how there are.
If old shims are in good shape re-use them.
