      rear end. (need new torsion bar bushings - not available?)

      so i took my car into my mechanic today to get new bushings for the rear end. so he calls me back later on saying i cant buy the bushings separate i have to get a whole axle assembly. has anyone else had this problem were these needed replaced?????


      i still love my aveo though!

      looks like it is supposed to be available to me, but its mark NA on price sheet? special order?

      I too looked it up om Gm parts direct. from the diagram it looks like the bushing and bracket may be packaged with the axle assembly. But the bracket can be bought separately for about 12$ (GM parts direct price). So id look into the possibility that the bushing comes with the bracket.

      its #3, if it has its own number on the diagram, its available by itself. If it is also bracketed, it is also part of the bigger unit.

      the problem with the schematics, is no part numbers.

      hhhhhmmmm.. i dont know were he went to order the part from i pretty sure it was the dealer and stood there and argued with them about how he should be able to get just the bushing. but i had it in the dealer a while ago and they said my rear axle or whatever was bent so i guess im just gonna replace the whole thing hes giving it to me at his cost so yeah

      just fill it with polyurethane or window weld.

      The rear axle on my '07 broke at the weld (rust belt car). Needed a new one. > $1,000.
