How To Disable ABS Console Light Temporarily

OK so I have a driving skills test coming up and I read that they won't even take you out on the road if there are any dashboard lights on.

My 2006 Aveo LS has the ABS light on constantly while I'm driving, although the regular brakes are fine. I was just wondering how to temporarily disable the light appearing on the dashboard console so I can complete my skills test, money is tight right now and don't want to take it into the garage to face a potential huge bill.

      Thanks.

since when the light is illuminated, it indicates the ABS is disabled.

Then try pulling the ABS fuse to disable the system and see if it puts out the light.

Thanks for your reply, but where would I find the ABS fuse please?

its in the fuse box, I think there is one in the side of the dash, which might just do the light. but the main ABS i believe is a relay in the fuse box by the battery under the hood..

      my car is ABS free.

removed both the 10a fuse from the side of the dash and the 60a fuse from the box by the battery but the abs console light remains on. can anyone explain please?

I wasn't sure if it would work or not. It depended on is the system was a fault light or if it was a separate light to alert you about the functionality of the system.

Your only option at this point is likely to pull the bulb from the cluster.
