Brake Conversion (Time to bring it back up?)

Has anyone done the Drum to Disc conversion on the rear besides XaioGary?

I here my drums starting to grind so It's about that time to take off the hub. Since I put rims on I realllly want to put discs all around.

So that being said, has anyone else done it on a non-ABS system, or was it pretty straight forward. I need to know how long I have to the aveo on a rack before I can get her driving again

Also any recomendations larger 4x100 discs / Brake sets would be really cool too!

      Thanks in Advance

I worked a little bit with Rabbit, he seems to have a good plan in the works right now - everyone is just super busy right now. There are some people who did cobalt conversions I believe. I just hate Drum brakes in general because they are a pain, and everytime you take them off the pressed bearing breaks or something.
Can't wait to get this mod done :P

I am interested as well. No ABS for me as well, and I prefer it that way

I just passed the design plans along to one of the guys who does drop plates on vw.. here was his response:

yes Im interested in making this custom plate for you. I just got another batch of steel from my supplier and I havn't started machining them yet. If you have an extra spindle, please send it to me. I'll use if for my 2D CAD drawing. when the plates are finished I'll ship the spindle back with them. How many people do you figure are interested? Also please send me a picture of the spindle so I can have a better look before starting. I would cut you a deal on your set if you can get me a few more people to buy them. Like I'd only charge you say $50 total to cover the shipping and materials if thers more people needing them. A one time custom set would run about $150 shipped if you only wanted one set.
let me know what you think, my address is:
      Jeremy

initially have the drawings and such saved and lined up. But I wanted the machinist to take first hand measurements.

      So.. Group buy?

I'm in, but what all would this cover and what else would we need to actually perform this swap.
