      Time for my audio install

Okay so im going to be running components in front and rear, im installing with two amps, I need to rewire my car while im doing the sound dampening and im wondering if anyone knows which fasteners are used in the aveo's door and rug? as well as any other fasteners used in the counsol and panels on the sides??? Id rather have all those before i begin tearing everything apart since i will want everything put together asap. Please advise!

I don't have pictures. Most fasteners will just pop and can be reused if treated properly.

Yeah i've reused car fasteners before, but being that theyre over ten years old, i was hoping to just replace them, specially that ive never dismantled these panels before, i can assume i will break a few.

If I remember, I can take a few pictures tonight. This is a good question, where is a source for carpet and door fasteners? What does the pro use?

I found this page and the prices are very much unreasonable. I have seen a good number of these exact fasteners on the Aveo.

I think you just need to pull the door and see what you got. Maybe this should become a sticky thread for the audio/interior section is a list of fasteners and sources with pictures.

Yeah thanks for the heads up, I will probably pop a panel and check the rug and see what i got under there. Ebay has cheap parts.

I have basically stripped my aveo, the only thing I haven't taken out yet is the dash. the door panels, seats, front pillars, center console, center pillars for the front seat belts and all the lower panels are all easy to remove. the rear pillars with the quarter panel windows, that is where it can be a pain with the retaining clips. its been a while since i have stripped the car down doing audio, but if i remember correctly you have to pull a couple clips then slide the pillar towards the front of the car to remove it. after that you can remove hand grips then the headliner and carpet.
