LED footwell lights

I want to put in LEDs in the footwells of my aveo, what is the best 12v postive lead in the car? I was thinking the 12v power lead to my head unit, but idk, I'm sure there is some one who knows better than me...any suggestions and also identify where the lead you suggest is. thanks

you can also use reading light lead

You can make your own spot in the fusebox out of one of the empty, run it from ur cigarette lighter or from map light either way its a parallel circuit so both will have 12v feed.

You could connect it to the battery as well, if you add a switch that is. 12v of the radio would work too, there are a million different ways to get 12v power

i put a switch in beside my e brake, and taped in to the 12v from the cigarette lighter outlet didnt bother to fuse as leds draw next to nothing and the cigarette lighter is already fused

I used the light wire which goes to my stereo so they come on with my headlights.

I am working on a dome light project for the rear seats. using a couple of LED strips and a wire run through the roof to the main dome light at the front. Future additions may include something like this. Please post pics when you get them installed, I would appreciate mounting ideas.
