      Cutting Down Shifter 08' Manual

Hey everyone, im back with yet another question.
I want to cut down my shifter and just have the knob (or another after market knob) stick just out of the top of the boot.
BUT the reverse lockout ring is posing a problem. Has anyone cut down their shifter and somehow kept the lockout functioning?
If so please please please help. Pics would be awesome =]
      Thanks in advance.

      -Brad

do not cut ur shifter cuz 99% u will prolly **** it up in the long run and screw urself over. The shifter is one thing u should mess with. Change ur shift knob and what not but dont cut anything

That's how I built my short shifters. I may brings those back eventually but it'll take some time. You need to have an insert machined for a new lift up reverse. You can risk taking out the lift up reverse and get it really short.

I like the idea you want to do. I wanted to know where you find a certain boot / shift guard so you can do such a thing?
