6 inch Speakers on the dashboard and amps on the backboard (Mucho Pics)

Yoh I have not made a post in a looong while but thats coz I been busy planning and building all this stuff. First I did the 6 inch dash mounted speakers. The housing is made from fibreglass and wrapped in carpet. I was going to paint it but then one day I got really sick of sanding and just pasted on the carpet with genkem. I attached the housings to the dash with 6 industrial strength velcro discs specced to hold 4kg each (yes this exists and its so damn strong you need to be sure your placement is 100% correct before using this stuff).

These sound awesome, really different from having speakers down in the doors plus the 6 inches handles mid bass much better than the 5 inches I used to have in the doors.

To complete the set I got the same 6 inch coaxials mounted on boxes on my backboard. I put them in boxes because the sub was motoring the cones of my old 6x9's which were mounted in my backboard. I also mounted my new amps on the backboard coz I thought it looked cool. Although I do cover it all with my lab coat when I drive into shady areas lol. Really need some dark tint on there.

Had to post these in a reply coz of the image limit per post. I forgot I had no pics of the speaker boxes as yet . Will post more with the completed cabling underneath the backboard tomorrow. I used to have an awesome sony 15" to go with the sony mids but unfortunately the glue holding its coil in place evaporated then the coil burned

Since sony has discontinued its 15's I can't get hold of another, guess I'll have to get 2 12's
