      Tail Lights Removal

My park light blew and I want to know how to remove the tail light safely without breaking it? I tried to remove it by removing the two screws that holds it in place but it appears something else needs to be removed before the tail light comes out. Can someone help me please. It's an 06' aveo

On the hatch, there is a nut on the inside behind the carpet that has to be removed. Not sure if it's the same for the sedan but I would check before pulling on the assembly and breaking it.

i have a hatch and i don't have a nut behind the carpit, is 2 screws on the outside and then you pull to unclip the light hosing from the 2 metal clip like poles

Hmmm, maybe i'm thinking of the rear bumper cover. I'm just going by memory of when I had to remove the rear bumper, i'm sure there was a nut that had to be removed back there but i'm not 100% sure what it was for.

I changed my taillights to smoked led ones, you need to unscrew the two screws and it pops off. There is no nut that needs to be taken off. I have an '07 hatch.

How do you open the center "cyclops" brake light to change the 5 "bean" bulbs? In my 07, the red lens that covers the bulbs seems glued in place.

I believe that is covered in the owners manual. I don't remember the procedure but I am pretty sure I saw it in there.

just changed my side fender marker lights to LEDs yesterday. I went half way through the procedure in te manual for changing them and it had me take off the head light assembly. I quickly realized that you cannot get to the rear of the side markers from the head light, you have to pop them out from the side... Idiots :/

. . . I think I read the removal of those somewhere else lol. I will check the manual later, but that makes no sense. If it says to remove the headlight for those, I'm giving up on it and just finding a good shop manual for it lol.
