      Amber city lights

I just was thinking of this idea the other day and i was wonder if anyone already did it. i was thinking about blacking out the front turn signals so it would match my black aveo. then i was wondering if you could mount the amber lights from the turn signal into the place where the city lights would be. just a thought and wondering if it would be legal or if anyone has done it yet

I don't see any reason why it would be illegal. As long as you have the required lights and they're working you should be fine.

The only thing is you'd get the "fast flash" problem with just one bulb for turn signal. you'd have to get a flasher relay that doesn't have the fast flash capability...or leave the other bulbs in the blacked out turn signal.

I have been through two inspections and have passed both of them with my front turn signals blacked out and the reason it's legal us because the aveo has the repeater turn signals on the side. But my back lights were illegal when I blacked those out need to keep the reverse and turn signal unmolested.

The flasher you would need can be found here: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/ ... ashers.htm

Part number CF13GL-02. That's the one that I verified with my flasher, ordered it, and now with almost all of my turn signal bulbs being LED my flasher speed is normal.
