      Timing Belt Change

      Hi Everyone:
My 09 chevy aveo LXV now is 27000 miles. When I should replace the timing belt? and I ask if something else should be replaced?
      Thanks.

      Hi:
I know that the timing bely should be replaced after 60.000 k. But the timing belt has 7 years validity and expired after that. The bet I had now is 9 years. Therefore, I should replace it now or wait?
      thanks.

The belt you have in your car is 9 years old now? Replace it!!! I took 11 years to replace mine, in my 2006 model,it is a HUGE investment, doing the water pump and all the other parts at the same time, NOT just the belt.
And I only had 38K miles on it. BUT it was so old, I never felt comfortable driving it. It could snap at any moment. So I finally got it done a few months ago. I got the belt back, it looked brand new, but everyone tells me you cant tell from looking at it, if it is about to snap or not. but I got 11 years from the OEM belt. The water pump was a bit burned around the edges, from age, I think. So if you have that belt in your engine for 9 years, even in a 09 model,if you can aford it, change it, the entire kit.

Your welcome. Since your in Egypt, it is SO hot there! I am in south Fla. and it is HOT here, nearly all year round. Almost as hot as Egypt at times
The heat makes the timing belt 'dry out' and possibly break much faster and need replacing sooner. And the other rubber belts/hoses as well. So if it is 'OLD', do the replacement ASAP. Good Luck.
