Need help - 2009 Aveo Error Code P0171

Hello all, I've recently been having problems with my Aveo. The check engine light came on a couple of weeks ago and the car seems to have a loss of power/slight hesitation taking off. When the hesitation occurs, the rpms start to climb as uaual, then between 2000-3000, the gauge seems to fall a bit.I found I had a leaky valve cover gasket, which has been replaced. The light is still on and the hesitation is still occurring but I'm lost where to go next.

      Any suggestions?

There is a recall on the '09 coil wires and plugs. Was that completed for your Aveo?

This is comical. Maybe it could be cracked air intake?

Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

Thanks for the suggestion. I found that it's cracked along one of the ridges. Since I'm going to have replace the intake hose, I'm thinking of just switching the intake system to a short ram.

So I got the hose fixed and cleaned the throttle body, but the code is still there and now the car is doing something different. The car starts, runs rough for a couple of seconds and then dies. The only code showing is P0171. When I cleaned the throttle body, I did it while it was still on the car because I don't have the tool to disconnect one of the lines running to it. I've checked for unplugged sensors and hoses, but don't see any.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should check next?
