Got a flashing "HOLD" on my dash today????

So I drove home and after a 50 mile drive with no problems I get home and notice my little engine symbol light thing is on and the HOLD light is also flashing. I didnt feel any sluggish felling or pulling or anything out of the norm so I checked the tranny fluid and its about half an inch from the normal range while hot and a light brownish/caramel color almost like lightly used engine oil. The car currently has about 60XXX miles on it and havent had any problems at all except one time I also had the service engine light come on and I took it to get scanned and came up with bad O2 sensor but it went away after that drive to work and hasnt came on since. I recently changed the spark plugs, oil, oil and air filter and that has been about 2XXX miles ago. Any ideas???

get it scanned, the flashing hold light has been brought up saying the cel is for a transmission code.

it could be a lot of things, from a vacuum leak to a signal not received due to a misfire.

Well its has treated me very well so far and I have put about 40XXX miles on it myself with about 90% being highway and the oil changed within 5K miles religiously(screwed that one up)although I havent changed the tranny fluid once since it was changed before I bought the car. Thanks for the info and I will post up tonight to let you all know what the Autozone guys said. Oh and what is this "CEL" thing I kept reading about while searching for the flashing hold light?

Ok so I went to Autozone and the code came up for the throttle position sensor or the accelerator pedal sensor. The guy also said its possible just some cable came loose and to tighten it up, in the meanwhile I had to drive to work thinking to myself that this sensor may go bonkers and give me full throttle or no throttle or just something in between so I was a bit apprehensive(thats scared ****less but with an education)about the drive. So I would ask if anyone has had this happen and what they did to repair/replace the item and the ballpark costs involved?
