      AVEO ENGINE SWAP IN PROGRESS

OKAY SO... i think i am going to have one of the quickest aveos around once i add this... some money and time but cheaper than buying a cobalt ss???

Think of it i will have my aveo 5 2004 turned into a 2004 Chevy Aveo 5 SS supercharged was going to do turbo but motor wont bolt and too much coin... like 3 grand more...

      LINK FOR MY TRANNY

and of course like any other project i need to get the cobalt gauges, ecu, i am doing the seats front only i am gutting the rear out. then suspension to hold the nose up so the motor dont throw it to the ground.

EXPECTED TIME FRAME ABOUT 3-4 MONTHS or after the winter in the il area.

later and maybe we would see more people doing this. see heres the thing. i bought my aveo used for about 2,500 with 70k on it last year and now she has 80k on it ok. a cobalt goes for about any where from 15k plus. and the aveo is lighter than the cobalt. so i got a 2,500 car with a 2k motor and a 2k tranny and about another 3k say in add ons to get her running and drivable so i got a aveo ss supercharged for under 10k

      makes sense huh...

      later and happy modding guys

Start posting pics as the progress goes on. But the link states that it doesnt come with the supercharger. So are you gonna find a stock one or upgrade to a brand name one? Sounds like a good project. Happy upgrading.

I believe whitfield racing (the shop that did the konig aveo) is planning to sell motor mounts for the LSJ swap, if they dont already do.

Re: AVEO ENGINE SWAP IN PROGRESS

you do know you will need alot more than just a supercharger for that engine. By the description, it is just the longblock (head and shortblock). If thats the case, it will not have the alternator, starter, power steering, or a/c. Not to mention the fuel rail, injectors, hoses, and coil packs. The tranny is good but does not have axles. You are better off finding a SS/SC that was rear ended. If not, with the cost of the aveo plus the swap, might as well buy a turbo cobalt.
