Air Breather yes or no?

Hey guys,

I have seen a couple pictures of people having air breathers on their vehicles.

Are they worth it to replace the hose that goes from next to the intake manifold to the Cold air intake?

Who knows the pro's and con's and what they are really for?

I say if its broke, dont fix it. If your not going balls out on your cars engine with other mods, the I'd just save your 10$ and get some brkfst from mcdonalds for you and your girl or a friend.

Haha I just re-read what I posted. I already put one on, and didn't notice really any difference. I already did the cold air, performance plugs/wires, Cat-Delete Header, and of course the breather.

Not really sure if there is anything else to really do to the engine, because it is my audio comp car. Its not going to be a racer lol.

Heck I still can't even figure out what muffler to get. I am still doing straigt pipe to a glass pack for right now lol

dual Megan Racing mufflers. For serious, anyone who heard my car in person would agree it's about the sexiest an aveo could sound. Others would argue a flowmaster 60 series or some other bs, but take it from me, it was some sexy shi*. That's just my reccomendatio, I'm sure others will chime in, I'll post a link later when I'm home so you can get a looksie.

this is where I got my exhaust. Price is up a bit, but not too bad. It's nnot the dual exhaust your thinking of but it is a dual canister. Also they come with silencers that work well.

for my exhaust I went 2 inch pipe from the cat back, hollowed out my cat (dont do) and ported my exhaust manifold. It was loud. I'd recommend buying a resonator if you do a full cat back exhaust. I was told by my fiance that I could be heard from about 7-8 blocks away. On a 6 hour drive to Michigan and back, my fiance and I ended up with migraines from the exhaust note being so loud in the car. Just a warning. But man it sounded gnarly before I futzed with everything. After I did all my exhaust mods, it was just too loud and sounded like more than it was and neighbors hated me.

Haha I am Strait piped all the way back... so trust me I understand lol. And I have tripple and double layers of dynamatt throughout the entire car. So the sound never bothers me lol. But ya If I could go back I would have left the resonators in there instead of making it 2.25" all the way back. But ya I will try it out once I get some funds. It looks pretty sweet
