Unhappy will a 38off set with 185/60/14 work ok?

Any one that used 38 offset on Alum 14x6 rims with stock size tire 185/60/14 what was the trouble or does this work ok.
Or did you need a spacer. Is this off set to much? to work. These where on a honda.

Well the factory offset is somewhere between 40 and 48 according to another topic in this forum. With a couple saying 40 and google saying 45.

You best bet if you own the rims is to test fit them, put he steering through it's full range of motion checking constantly for rub spots and spots that look like they might come in contact with the car during bumps etc. I don't see the bumps being a problem, but Steering might be an issue.

I do not have them right now there no rubber on them right now I did not want to in stall them and have to take them off again bad for the tires. I know it's 45 off set from the factory. But want to know if the 38 could be used as the set up listed? But thank you.
