      Question Throttle help

      I am having 2 throttle codes. P2101 and P2176.
When I take my short ram off to clean it the plate isn't flat shut its slightly angled, is it supposed to do that or is it supposed to be fully closed? I have thoroughly cleaned the whole thing around the plate to where I can open and close it freely but with it open on the bottom I can see a layer of carbon my fingers can't reach. Now that the plate is clean do I have to clean the whole thing to work properly or is the problem the fact the plate doesn't close all the way?
If I just wait and clear the code it drives and eventually pops up again, sometimes I take everything off and clean it again and it still eventually comes back.

What year? Pictures would be good. And just to be clear you referring to the throttle body?

      Sorry for the long post:

      P2176
      ---------------------------------------
      Possible causes
      - Faulty Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module
      - Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module harness is open or shorted
      - Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module circuit poor electrical connection
      - Throttle plate sticking due to carbon build-up
      - Engine Control Module
What does this mean? What does this mean?
      When is the code detected?
The P2176 code is set when the difference between the predicted and the actual throttle position is more than a calibrated amount for more than 1.5 seconds.
      Possible symptoms
      - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
      - No throttle pedal response
      P2176 Chevrolet Description

The Engine Control Module (ECM) is the control center for the Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) system. The ECM determines the drivers intent and then calculates the appropriate throttle response. The ECM achieves throttle positioning by providing a pulse width modulated voltage to the TAC motor. The TAC system uses the following circuits for Motor control 1 and Motor control 2.

Two processors are also used to monitor the TAC system data. Both processors are located within the ECM. Both processors monitor each other's data to verify that the indicated throttle position is correct.

The Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected an out of range condition between the predicted and actual throttle position.

So both fault code are pointing to an electrical issue and not a mechanical issue. Basically I think your throttle body is clean enough. I don't have a wiring diagram for that year throttle body. So I can't tell if that's a simple two wire feedback or a more complicated four wire system. I did find a throttle body on the cheap in ebay
09 13 Chevy Cruze Aveo Wave G3 Throttle Body Valve Assm 367 | eBay

So I would disconnect the wiring and start looking at with a multimeter.
