      Thermostat housing

I would recommend that anyone who has an Aveo to replace the original plastic thermostat housing with a new metal housing. It is an easy and inexpensive fix and will save your engine. I was driving down the freeway when my broke and before I could pull over the engine was destroyed.

indeed, it is a known problem with some of the earlier aveos, sorry to hear your engine is toast.
