      Rear Aveo Body Brace

As always I'm trying to come up with ways to improve my Aveo, while keeping within a budget. Well, recently I've been trying to replace the Pass. side rear seat latch, since mine got lost when it was lent out for a custom design project.

Well good news, I found someone else to build my design idea!

I m thinking that since our rear seats help maintain body stiffness, what would happen if we made the latch they lock into take the strain and brace the body. Thus have a solid feel even if the seats are folded down, or completely removed!

      Something like this:

And it will be built to replace these for the seats, no new holes to drill!

Of course this idea applies to the first gen. Aveo hatchbacks for now. Maybe if this goes well there will be room for others in the future.

Anyone else interested? Any other ideas or suggestions to make this better?

Can you tell a difference? I've tested body flex like this on other cars and there is absolutely no flex there. I'd be interested in seeing how much flex there is.

Fold your seat down and pull in and out of a driveway and go through some turns while recording the back. You will need a string tied from bracket to bracket for the full effect.

That's where the ultra racing bar mounts isn't it? No floor tie though.

Similar, but the UR ones require you to drill new holes under where those seat latches are, not direct swap out.
