      New Aveo, New Issues

Reading the last guys thread on picking up an Aveo I now know what to expect.
Although, I just got mine Thursday night... And here are my problems.

      1. Driving around town, i have noticed that it is unusually difficult to get it into second gear unless you quick shift from first to second.... if its a slow casual shift , it likes to fight you for it... I'm not sure it should be doing this... something out of adjustment maybe?

      2. At highway speeds, i get an awful howl coming from around the mirrors, or fenders... sounds like its right at the front of the door... starts at 68-72 MPH... Anyone else have this issue as well?

      Input?

dont know about ur trans, maybe bad syncros? as for howling sound, make sure all ur windows are tight and so forth, but the aveo isnt exactly the quietest to drive, thats part of ownin an econo car.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

The howls are normal, especially if its gusty outside.

I have an 08 Aveo5 too and it was a little stiff shifting the first few thousand miles, but loosened up fine.

Theres like 2 holes in the grill each corner. The grill is not full of holes. Think Thats whats making the sound. Look at your grill, you'll see what im talking about. Pisses me off when I hear it. Windy days its really bad. Sounds like your doors are gonna blow off. lol

Adding water to oil does NOT clean your engine, It reshapes connecting rods.

i get the wind noise too but check out the transmission problem, I had a bad crank sensor so it could be the same.
