      wat.
Your missing a bunch of things like gearing, weight etc. That's what produces the numbers. You like to compare things but you need to know what matters in the comparison as well.

1.4l making 140 hp is 10 hp per .1 liter. How many engines are doing that? I know a lot of turbo direct injection engine doing better. But seriously.

Also with safety requirements etc going into new cars the added weight with every generation makes getting better numbers hard, besides that EPA ratings are a joke. You have people here doing muck better an much less, getting the drive they want out of them.

Oh. And the gremlin, edsel, and Citation have a cult following just like your w bodys. Does that make them the best car ever too?

I NEVER said it was the best car platform ever. Just pointing out that there are reasons for it's cult following and reasons the platform lasted over 20 years in production. There is no real logical reason for hating this platform other than it being Front Wheel Drive, and somewhat heavy (though no more-so than any of it's competitors). If ya go for a base model, they float like a Cadillac and take forever to gather any sort of speed, with the exceptions being the generation 3 W-body cars.

it competitors? which you pointed out to be the bmw? which you also say its superior to. Bmw is heavy because of what is put into them, but you should know that since you like engineering.

20 years, 15 of which relied on superficial refacing to survive with the times.

its a run of the mill car chevy people mover, i would go on but i like my aveo, which was built top be the best of well nothing. but it succeeded at being a 2009 version of my 1975 rabbit.

its not that serious, its just the internet, i doubt anyone is lossing any sleep.. But it is just like 20% of this forum is hunter hating honda, another 20% of this forum is z34 talking about how his lumina is superior in every way. That leaves 60% of the content for actual aveo stuff...
