How to Edit an Old Post

Not sure who to ask, so I'm posting here.

How do you edit a post that is a few days old? I see that I can edit a post that I just made, but once its a few hours old, I can't. Sometimes I want to change spelling mistake or misprints.

      Thanks

its a setting, the admins need to change in the boards. I ran into this already.

Thanks. Do I ask the admins to change on each board? Is this specific to my account?

The board is currently setup to give you 1 hour to edit your posts before they are locked down. We can probably extend this a bit. You do have a longer time to delete the post if you so wish.

Okay, and extension would be good - I would consider a few days. A week would be better. I'm on other forums where the author permanently has ability to edit his/her posts.

I think Tim set it to a month.

If you're stuck needing to change something, let me know.
