      Holden Barina = Chevolett Aveo?

      Hello,

I own an 2006 Holden Barina TK and would like a better understanding on the following:

      - I was told that a Holden Barina is the same as the Chevrolet Aveo just rebadged. Is this true?
      - Can I simply import parts from the USA that are branded as "Chevrolet Aveo" and they will fit/work/compatible into my Holden Barina?
      - If I was to import Projector Headlights, LED Rear Lights and a Cold Air Intake kit, will they fit on my Holden Barina?

      Thanks,
      Misty

Yes it is true. The Holden Barina is a rebadged Daewoo Kalos, which has been rebadged as the following:
      Holden Barina (TK)
      Chevrolet Aveo
      Pontiac G3
      Pontiac Wave
      Pontiac G3 Wave
      Suzuki Swift +
      Chevrolet Lova
      Chevrolet Kalos

      They should work.

The headlights depends on which body style you have. If it's the hatchback, than no as the USA got a completely different front end (see picture below). 2009-present hatchbacks though have the same front end as the USA Aveo. The Australian Holden Barina Sedan is identical to the 2007-present Chevrolet Aveo sedan. Tail lights however were identical. Engines for Australia and the US are identical too so yes, the should work.
      - 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 - LQ1 3.4L DOHC 24 valve semi-hemi V6, 210 HP, 215 ft-lbs of torque, 4T60e 4 speed automatic with O/D.... 123,000+ miles. Slowly resto-modding it.

Yes mine is a 3door hatch and the indicator and headlight are in one unit.
Is there not anyway I can purchase projector headlights?

      Thats great.

I just got the bf to take these pics:

^ Front headlight I want to replace with projector HID headlights.

^ Rear light I want to replace with LED ones.

      ^ Engine Bay.

EDIT!; hatchback tail lights were identical. sedan tail lights were different but are completely interchangeable. The USA Aveo sedan (2007-present ones anyways) had an Altezza style tail light stock.

LOL! Do you know how many of us here in the USA would KILL to have the front end you guys do overseas? I love the Barina hatch's front end.

I do admit the external headlight and indicator light on the USA model does look crappy.

America also doesn't get the 3 door hatch. only the 5 door and the sedan.
I don't know of any projectors for the TK Barina but trust me, it looks fine. I wouldn't change it. Australia has the same love of big engines as America does, so as long as it's the 1.6L DOHC 16 valve 4 cylinder, anything for the USA market Aveo will bolt right on.

Thats a little bit disappointing I cant get projector headlights.
But still good that I can import a cold air intake and led rear light set.

LOL. I love how I don't even own an Aveo and I have textbook knowledge of them XD. Sorry for the spam, that just struck me as funny.

Stay on the forum. xiaogary sells headers for the car and I believe petrified.rabbit also makes some parts like a short throw shifter.
