Help my ignorance about 2013 Aveo

I am in need of an OEM passenger tail light for a 2013 Aveo. But all I find are parts for Aveos 2011 and prior. What is the reason? Forgive my ignorance if this is obvious knowledge.

In 2012, the Aveo changed platforms from the T250 platform to the Gamma platform; and here in the United States, it got a name change from Aveo to Sonic. In Europe and other countries, the Aveo name still stuck. (The reason why it got changed in the US, is because Automotive journalists criticized the Aveo for being a bland throwaway car to their point where the name was pretty much poisoned.)

Thank you for the information. So if I get a 2013 Sonic tail light from the U.S., it should match/work for the 2013 I have here in Colombia? Thanks again.

Best thing I would do, is google Chevrolet Sonic taillights, and compare the pictures to what is on your car.
