Exactly what happened when I was looking at the Yaris... actually in Canada they have the Access Toyota pricing a la Saturn. WYSIWYP (what you see is what you pay)...
Unless you know a guy... my neighbor knows a guy, bought a Yaris sedan. Something wrong with the belts on it- squeals like a pig every time he starts it up. Great quality, that.

It is a mark VI right? Wait till you start tearing it apart. For some reason, it smells like crayons. But you will find alot of weight to be removed from there. Just good luck getting any power out of it. APR overrates the crap out of everything they sell.

mk3, 2.0l 8v. Adequate power, plenty of torque for production class. It's already been torn apart for a couple years now... only thing left are 2 seats and the dash.

      Prep will take a while.
      Need to refinish the body
stripping the engine bay and refinishing (corrosion hell at the moment).
A straight toothed 6spd close ratio, with a stock 5spd as backup
suspension will likely be KONI HD shocks/struts with adjustable perches... or might convert it over to the GLX suspension so I can use the corrado rear discs
Rebuild the motor and pick up a spare
Then there's the saftey stuff... seats, harness, cage, fuel cell
      rally computer, intercom.
Also probably going to strip all the wiring down the necessities.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.

Well, the orange one was sold before we could trade, but have a guy heading down to NC as we speak to pickup a blue one, same price. I liked the orange, but a car is a car... and at least it's not the yellow one they found :P

      Just over 57,000miles.

Mods include SRI and slotted/drilled front rotors.

Been through hell and back. Regularly does Va to Pa... at least twice a year, often more. Been to rally West Virginia, where the access roads to the spectator stages are worse than the timed roads the competitors run on.

Biggest annoyance have been bent rims due said gravel roads. Busted upstream o2 sensor, thanks to a prick with yard waste in the back of his pickup... with the tailgate down.

Will be changing the Timing belt, water pump, and serpentine belt sometime next week. Also need new shocks/struts.

      What I'd like to do:
15" gravel wheels (white maybe?) w/ 195/50R15 tires.
      AEM intake w/ "OHSHI-" valve.
2" stainless exhaust w/ aftermarket cat... not sure what muffler yet.
Stock height springs, with a higher spring rate (like that'll ever happen).
At least a partial skidplate to cover the oilpan and drive shafts... or just full plating.
      c20get...

c20get.... I'd kill for one. 160 horses stock. That would rock in this car, being a straight swap, except for ecu and wiring.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

took delivery yesterday. final price: $8,160. Marked up $200 from invoice, and had a $199 "processing fee." $2250 in rebates. This was by far the easiest car I have ever purchased.
