I've had direct tv and cable and switched over to cable. the only reason i did this was during a snow storm, and any time it rained, i lost signal. i'm not sure exactly what was direct tv's hook for luring me in the first time, but i've never had cable problems in 5 yrs.

only time i ever lost my directv signal was when a bird landed on the dish.. or if it was REALLY windy like 35 mph+.

I had cable too and it would go out with the wind around here too, since they run all the lines on telephone poles through the trees.

Now i have fios. im never going back.
