      Question Aveo clock and aux

Hello everyone. I have a 2009 Aveo, I recently got this car from a family member and the clock, audio and presets are staying. I tested the fuses for the audio clock and aux port and they were fine but I changed them anyway. The presets work now but the clock and the aux port don't. What can be done to fix this?

Sounds to me like you have 2 seperate issues. The first, the clock, is super common and not that difficult of a fix if you're handy. Credit to ChevyCC.

As for the aux port, that sounds like it's just an internal malfunction in your radio. Maybe someone else has a suggestion, but I'd guess you'll need to change it out to either a used stock radio, or a new aftermarket if you want to be able to plug in a phone or mp3 player. For the record my 2010's radio only lasted about 3 1/2 years before it started acting up. I recommend an aftermarket if you can afford it.

What I mean is order yourself up something like below: (non GM brand - Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, JVC, etc)

      Pioneer FH-X720BT (fhx720bt) Double-DIN Bluetooth Car Stereo w/

$119.99, comes with Bluetooth, a USB input to control and charge an Ipod/Iphone/Android, comes with all the accessories including the mounting bracket, wiring harness and antannae adapter specific to your 2009 Aveo.

Here's a good read on removing the factory stereo. The rest is pretty simple. There's plenty of info on Aveoforum with a quick search.

I'm trying to connect the radio I bought to the aveo after I took out ther stereo (thanks again for the information on how to remove it). I want to crimp rather then solder, are there any how to guides or video showing how to connect the new stereo for the 2009 aveo?

Thank you for this, this helped a lot. I was able to instal my stereo into my car. However, the Scosche in-dash installation kit was too small for the radio. This is how it looks for the time being. lol My boyfriend works at a wood shop so I'll have him cut me a piece of wood to fit. Name: 001.jpg
