      Cluster out

Just got 2010 aveo hatch for my daughter. The cluster, right front running light and right tail light are not working. checked harness coming out of fuse box under hood and nothing looked burned or melted. Don't know what to do next. All fuses are good.

You need to check if they are getting voltage and don't depend on the light. Use a mutimeter to measure voltage at each light.

My girlfriend's Aveo had the EXACT same issue. Hers is an 05. Same issue: cluster, right right running, and right tail out. When she had it in for a recall on the BCM (they supposedly caught fire sometimes, her's definitely burnt up) we were hoping that would fix the issue, but it did not. I told the dealer to test the new module to see if that resolves this issue BEFORE they reassembled everything, that way they wouldn't have to tear it down again. I advised her to go ahead and have the dealer track the issue down. I ended up having to supply them a wiring diagram myself because they didn't have one? I got it off of Autozone's website for free in the repair help section.

Anyways, to make matters simple they said they found a wire in the circuit had shorted or cut apart against the body and they repaired it. Didn't specify where the wire was and I didn't think to ask. But I'll bet you have the same problem. So get the diagram from Autozone's site and start tracking the wires if simple fixes don't work.

I just talked to her about it. She THINKS they told her it was under the drivers seat somewhere. You may start your adventure there.

There is a bundle of wires coming out of the wiring harness to the cabin inside the driver side fender. It's a sketchy setup inside there.
