What is this???? Wiring issue..

I was wondering is anyone knew what this wire thing is for or called.. It's purple with a fuse looking thing with brown on the other end. It's on the driver side front frame rail.

that is the Ballast Resistor for the Engine Cooling and A/C Fan; it makes it where the fan can have two speeds according to the needs of the cooling system or Air Conditioning (if so Equipped) there is a thread explaining what it is here: http://www.aveoforum.com/forum/f108/...od-what-13091/

I really think it has something to do with the anti theft system.. I have noticed when you push the lock down twice it dosnt flash or chirp the horn.. Who knows though that could be another issue..

UPDATE... Found out from the dealership it's for High & Low speed for the cooling fan...
