How to fix "clunking" power window? 08 Aveo hatchback

I have an 08 Aveo5 with power windows. The passenger side window is making a "clunking" noise right when it starts to close. The linkage is loose somewhere in there I imagine.

I took the panel off and could only find one bolt for adjustment. It did not work. It still makes the noise. If I power the window down and push it down a little with my hand the noise no longer occurs. It is loose.

But, how the heck can I tighten the darn thing up?

I would think you are right, something has to be loose. Any pictures with the panel off the door so we can take a peek in there?

if the aveo uses the ladder system (i'll call it that) like some other gms. the part that actually moves from the radio is like a plastic ladder that goes through the track and gets attached to the window. The attachment point usually started to wear and give play that knocks. on my cadillac it didnt know it just popped and the door glass fell into the door and shattered.

if it is a different system its probably a torque flex of some kind. And those tracks tend to be a unit replacement, not serviceable. Pull the door panel off in either case and hook the window switch back up and run the widow with no panel. that will make the problem spot easy to find.
