Hold Light Flashing

I have a '06 Chevy aveo automatic with 120,000 miles. My hold light started flashing and my car won't go into overdrive. I've tried turning hold off but it stays on. It will go through the first 3 gears but the acceleration is poor in first. Any ideas of what I can do to fix it? I'd appreciate it.

i read that when hold light is flashing means you set off a transmition code.need code reader to see which code. your in the states so pep boys and other parts dealers read your code for free.

Just following up, I was dumb. It was the 15 amp LTR fuse. I replaced that and everything is fine now.
