an easy way to see if there is a fuel pump running is to open the fuel door, listen to the tank and have someone else put the key in and turn to the on position. You should hear the pump prime.

if it does not, check the relay. typically you can swap two relays (make sure they are the same). And then see if that fixes the issue. IF those two things show no signs of the pump kicking, then it might be the pump.

BASICALLY if the pump has power it will run, but the amperage etc will determine the pressure it puts out more so that than turning on or not. If you hear it run, then check the pressure at the rail.

It might not be the fuel pump at all.

I can hear the relay click
I checked for voltage at the pump today
Got 12v on two of the terminals and a about 5v on another
No noise. Or fuel coming from the pump
I have taken pump out and connected a 12v supply to it
It didn't work so I tapped it and it worked then stopped again
I put some lubricant in the inlet/outlets and it improved
I shall try it in car tomorrow
Can't get hold of a new pump yet.
      Update
Put pump in, car started and died again.
      Update.
Took pump out again, gave it a clean and put wynn's Dry Fuel in tank.
Done about 100 Miles so far
