Coolant Flush?
I have a 2011 Aveo5 LT and I am going to need a coolant flush, but I was hoping to do it myself instead of bringing it in. However, I can't see/find any sort of clue what to remove underneath to drain it! I saw that some models have a plastic plug that you can just pull out, and others have a bolt. Can anyone offer any insight of where to look?
Thanks!

on my 2006 chevy aveo the plug is hard to see and best scene through the front grate. Passenger side near the bottom of the radiator.

Awesome, thanks. I've looked online and it's impossible trying to find a solid picture/answer.

Just flushed coolant on 2011 Aveo5 yesterday. Drain plug as you are looking at the engine is on the right (driver) side. Look down the r side and you'll see a mounting bolt on the bottom. The drain plug is adjacent on the side. I had to feel around to find it. You may see it easier if you raise the driver side front...better still if you remove the tire. Still a pita to get to and difficult to get a socket on. Recommend using a ratcheting 13mm wrench. I used an open end and could only turn a small amount then flip wrench another small turn....over and over and over...Good luck

Just flushed the coolant of my 2004 Aveo today. The petcock is location on the passenger side of the radiator towards the bottom (not the front or back of the radiator, but on the side). The petcock is in the worst position, but I found the easiest way to access it was through the top of the engine bay. All you need is a 12mm socket to loosen the petcock. Also helps if you have skinny arms.

I just did the thermostat and the manifold it mounts to a few weeks ago on my Wife's 2010 Aveo5 LT. The drain for the radiator is on the bottom driver's side of her car. It takes a 13mm, I did it in a rush so it could be 12mm, wrench or socket but it was tight because of the condenser lines. I had the car up on ramps and got to it from underneath, there's a lot in the way to get to it from top down. The coolant drains out through the center of the mount that sits in a rubber bushing, so just put a bucket under that hole and you are good. The engine, radiator and hoses don't hold a lot of fluid, I ended up putting about a gallon back in.
